(Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Nicolas Di Costanzo) has announced that The Rumble Fish +, developed by Dimps Corporation (Headquarters: Toyonaka-shi, Osaka; President & CEO: Takashi Nishiyama) will be released on December 21st, 2023 as a digital download on all major platforms, including PlayStation®4, Nintendo Switch™, and Xbox One for 7.99 USD/EUR. In addition, The Rumble Fish 2 will receive its 4.0 update, bringing new features to the game.

[What is The Rumble Fish +?]

The Rumble Fish originally released to arcades in 2004 and quickly enthralled players with its simple yet riveting five-button, two-gauge combat system, which was acutalized through its cast of ten brilliantly-animated characters, each with their own distinctive style and personality. The Rumble Fish + is an updated version of this classic title, complete with modern-day features that fighting game players have come to expect.
THE RUMBLE FISH+ is a re-imagining of this classic title with a host of new features: online matches with rollback netcode, match replays, spectating and options to manipulate enemy behavior in Training mode.

[The Story of The Rumble Fish]

It is the end of the 20th century... A large-scale natural disaster struck the eastern area of a nation. It wiped out the financial sector and resulted in a staggering loss of life.
At the dawn of the 21st century, the conglomerate PROBE-NEXUS, commonly known as Probe, began reconstruction efforts in that eastern area. Colossal capital and cutting-edge technology were poured into rebuilding it. Skyscrapers that put the old high-rises to shame along with the world's biggest shopping mall and recreational facilities. This was the dazzling birth of a symbol for the new century. It was christened Zone Prime.

And now, in an undeveloped sector of its western block, there was an area known as the slums...

[A Feature-Packed Training Mode]

The Rumble Fish + features an in-depth training mode, sporting all the features expected in a modern fighting game. This includes record and playback options where players can input and record the CPU’s movements, and practice against them. The game also has added command lists to the borders, so players can check their character’s various special attacks at a moment’s notice.

[Play Online!]

The Rumble Fish + includes a host of new online features, implemented with rollback netcode to provide a lag-free experience for players wishing to test their skills to the fullest. Fight random players across the world in quick matches or host online lobbies to fight friends and spectate matches. Any matches played online can saved as replays to watch later.

The Rumble Fish 2 will receive its 4.0 update today! Just like The Rumble Fish +, training mode will now have record and playback options. The full list of the features and changes can be found below:
